What this acknowledgment will cover
- A plain-language statement that interacting with animals carries inherent risk — including bites, scratches, falls, and other injury — and that no organization or platform can guarantee any animal's behavior.
- Confirmation that the member has read the listing organization's rules, requirements, restrictions, and disclosures for the specific animal, and agrees to follow them.
- Confirmation that temporary custody transfers directly from the organization to the member at handoff and back at return.
- Assumption-of-risk and release language — to be drafted and approved by counsel. Nothing on this page is a waiver, release, or limitation of anyone's liability.
